My Weight Loss Journey

Mood:  happy

Hello friends! Today is officially my first day of not eating junk food. It will be hard ending this long relationship. I need to really practice self control. I'm not very good at that though. I will become good at it. I will let IT! I just keep on thinking positive thoughts. So far I haven't craved any junk either. I hope I can keep it up. Also, I went for a 30 minute brisk walk today. I'm almost there. I needed to do 3 walks by the 27th and I did 2 so far. My walk today was really hard! That steep hill really is hard but I DID IT! That's the important thing. I'm proud of myself that I came this far!

Ok so now it's later in the day and I went for a slower, more leisurely walk with my friend Janet. I still think it wasn't bad excercise considering it was about 40 minutes of walking. I haven't caved in yet either. No snack food yet. I'm going to the movie theatre later so we'll see how I do with that.

Mood:  smelly

 

Today is the first day of my weight loss jouney and I'm really excited! I will be doing weekly videos as well as my blog entries. The only way to see my videos for now is that you have a youtube account and add me as a friend. The video is private so I will have to allow you to see it. If you want to, just let me know.

Today I went for a 30 minute true brisk walk. I say "true" because usually when I go for walks, I don't go fast enough to get my heart rate up. Today was totally different. I was also totally tired. Now, getting back from my walk, I feel totally energized!! I feel like dancing and singing! At the beginning I didn't know how anything could make me feel good. Now I feel great.

 So, now comes the topic of goals. My goal weight is to reach a healthy weight. In numbers? It doesn't matter. It's not just about numbers on a scale. I do, however, have some old clothes I'd like to fit into. I am keeping them. If I'm going to lose weight, at least it saves me a little bit of money for when I have to buy new clothes.

 I'm going to be starting off with my brisk 30 minute or so walks at least 3 days a week and also cutting out all snack/junk foods. For now it's what's best.

Anyways, I'll keep in touch and I look forward to having at least 2 more brisk walks before my next video (May 27th or so). Farewell until then!
